A Brief History · Current Status · Interests
I was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on June 30, 1965. In addition to Colorado, I have lived in (not necessarily in the following order) California, Kansas, Maryland, Mississippi, and New Mexico. I have also traveled to Canada, Mexico, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. While living in Mississippi at the age of 14, I finished the ninth grade, but never did attend high school. Instead, I went to work to help support my family. Later, we all moved back out to California, where I took the California High School Proficiency Examination, passed it, and began my college education at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in International Affairs and Commerce at the University of the Pacific (UOP) in 1989. As part of my degree curriculum at UOP, I was required to study abroad for at least one semester. I chose to fulfill this requirement by attending the National University of Singapore. It was during my time abroad that I met the woman who I would eventually marry.
My wife and I, and our multitude of cats and dogs, have lived in Antioch, California since May 1995. Antioch is a fast-growing city in eastern Contra Costa County, situated next to the Sacramento and San Joaquin river delta. Currently, I am studying Web Design at the ROP Technology Center and am really excited about it! I was laid off last February and jobs in my field (import/export/logistics management) are not plentiful these days, so I decided to enter a new field!
